Executive Biography

Alex Proteau is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Co-Founder of Dispatch Science, a logistics technology company headquartered in the Greater Montreal area specializing in last-mile delivery management software, courier dispatch platforms, route optimization, fleet management, and delivery automation solutions.

Since co-founding Dispatch Science in 2016, Alex has led the company’s technology strategy, platform architecture, product innovation, and engineering operations. Under his leadership, Dispatch Science has developed scalable SaaS solutions that help courier companies, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), distributors, and enterprise delivery operations streamline dispatching, optimize routes, automate workflows, improve customer visibility, and scale last-mile logistics operations.

Career Background

Before Dispatch Science, Alex Proteau co-founded Apcurium Group, where he served as Vice President of Research & Development (R&D). At Apcurium, he led the development of mobile and cloud-based transportation solutions that enabled businesses to launch scalable, customer-focused mobile applications and digital service platforms.

Alex played a key role in transforming transportation and mobility technology through innovative software solutions designed for operational efficiency, user experience, and mobile-first engagement. Earlier in his career, Alex worked at nventive, where he developed deep expertise in .NET development, enterprise software architecture, and scalable application engineering.

Alex was also a founding member of Karat Software, contributing to the company’s growth and eventual successful acquisition. In addition, Alex founded e-nergik, an entrepreneurial software venture that provided technology solutions for clients including ESI Software and BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada).
